What is the fee for renting the space?
Facility rental rates begin at 250.00 for events at The 1906 House and 500.00 for events in the Carriage Barn.
Do you provide catering and bar services?
Yes! We create customized menus with a strong emphasis on hyperlocal ingredients. We can also accommodate a variety of bar needs.
Do you allow outside caterers or bar services?
At this time we are not able to allow outside food/drink vendors to utilize our space.
Do you provide standard wedding packages?
We work with each couple to create a wedding that fits YOUR needs, priorities, and budget.
What does the rental fee include? How many hours does this guarantee us?
This rental fee includes six hours of access to the venue on the day of your event, our tables, chairs, and linens if you choose to use them. The type of access and timeline (set up, breakdown, etc.) can be discussed.
Is there parking available?
We have plenty of parking available behind the barn!
Is your venue ADA accessible?
Yes! We have ramp access into the house and the barn.
Can we also hold our ceremony at your location?
Absolutely! We have indoor and outdoor spaces available for your ceremony as well as for your reception.
Can you help us find a ceremony officiant?
Yes! We know many area clergy members and Justices of the Peace. We can also assist you with the process of making sure that the officiant of your choice is able to perform marriage ceremonies in Vermont.
Do you set up and tear down all of the items you provide?
When can I begin set up on my wedding day?
We will work together to determine the time that works best for you.
Can we access the space to rehearse the night before?
Generally, yes. We will work together to coordinate your rehearsal time. Depending on the demand for your particular wedding date, there may be an additional fee to reserve the space for your rehearsal the night before.
Are there any restrictions on the use of the space?
All decorations must be removable. Talk to us about what you have in mind and we’ll see what we can do!
Are there any restrictions on videography or photography?
No. We are also happy to recommend local photographers and videographers for you.
Do I need to get any permits or insurance for the wedding?
Nope! We’ve got all of that taken care of for you.
Is there a bridal room or a groom’s suite?
The 1906 House is an operating Bed & Breakfast and we have a variety of spaces that can work for pre-wedding preparations.
How much is the deposit?
We ask for a 50% deposit at the time of the booking.
When is the balance due?
24 hours before the event.
What forms of payment do you take?
Check, cash, and credit card. For credit card transactions there may be a processing fee attached.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation of the event made less than 30 days before the event will result in the forfeiture of the entire deposit. Cancellation of the event made more than 30 days before the event will result in forfeiture of 50% of the deposit.
